Thoughts:
Being that I have not played Super Mario Galaxy 2, I don't know how many hours it should take to complete.  I finished the first Super Mario Galaxy after about twenty hours of game-play.
I think it will be interesting to see what the average play-time reported per person is for Super Mario Galaxy 2 in a few months, to see if we can perhaps tell from the data if the players are simply completing the campaign; or, if they are taking time to collect all the stars in the game.

Question:
If you have been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2, have you completed the main campaign and how many stars have you collected so far?
If you have completed the main campaign, about how many hours did it take you?

  1. I have completed the campaign and I currently have 96 stars. When you beat the campaign, the game sends a message to your message board saying thanks for playing and how long you've played. Mine said over 16 hours or so.

That's good to know, about the message being sent.
Did the first one do that as well? For some reason, I think it may have now that you mentioned it!

Thanks for the comment and feedback. Greatly appreciated!
