Good morning! I hope this post finds you well, perhaps even enjoying a cup of coffee. It's a new week, and almost a new month! Where have I (Coffee) disappeared to the last few months? Well, that might be a story for another day...

Today, I wanted to let fellow Wii U owners know that Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (DKCTF) is on sale! Barely a month after it released, the game is already discounted 20% off its MSRP at two retailers.

You can pick up a copy of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Wii U from Best Buy (HERE) and Amazon.com (HERE) this week for just $39.99. Both sites include "Free Shipping" with the sale price, but with Best Buy you also have the option of checking your local store(s) to see if you can pick it up today if you want.

I did a plethora of Nintendo Channel data stories on Donkey Kong Country Returns (see: here, here, here, here, here, & here), and even one on the Wii's Virtual Console Donkey Kong Country SNES titles over the years. If you own a Wii, but not a Wii U, I would highly recommend picking up Donkey Kong Country Returns and giving it a try, especially if you enjoyed any of the older SNES titles in the series.

Next Friday, September 20th, the Wii U is scheduled to receive a $50 price drop at retailers. This will be the Wii U's first official price drop on the Wii U Deluxe Set, bringing its new suggested MSRP to $299.99.

Along with taking a look at some Wii U retail and eShop game deals in this post, I'll also highlight the current Humble Indie Bundle 9 deal that is taking place. The Nintendo 2DS is releasing next month at a suggested retail price of $129.99, $40 less than the suggested retail price of the regular Nintendo 3DS. It is probably what we will end up getting Bean 1 this holiday season for Christmas, unless there is some other shiny new toy that turns up between now and then.

There are already a few games on my list to get Bean 1 eventually, if not day one, and between now and Christmas I'll be paying closer attention to 2DS/3DS deals. If you currently own a Nintendo 3DS, or perhaps are planning to grab a Nintendo 2DS this holiday season, below are some current Nintendo 3DS games that are at least 20% off their MSRPs or List Prices.

I told a friend back in June who was interested in the Wii U then, that I thought a price drop would happen for the system pretty soon and I would wait a little while to see what Nintendo would do. So, earlier this week when Nintendo announced the Wii U Deluxe Set is getting a new MSRP of $299.99 starting on September 20th, I was glad to see it happen and immediately told my friend about it.

The Wii was hard to find in many locations for nearly 2 years after it released, and because it was selling like hot coffee on a cold winter's day, the prices of many first party Wii games rarely dropped below their MSRPs. Even now, some Wii games have their original MSRPs of $49.99.

The Wii U has been struggling with its monthly sales compared to the other consoles, since January of this year. The biggest beneficiaries of this unfortunate situation for Nintendo though, are the consumers. The Wii U hasn't even been out a year yet, and already many Nintendo published Wii U titles are seeing some significant discounts off their MSRPs.

Amazon.com is running some pretty incredible deals on a good number of PC games right now, and along with highlighting some of those, there are a few PS3, 3DS, and Wii U deals you might be interested in.

When I say incredible deals, I don't just mean 10% off titles. No, I mean some PC titles 75-88% off their "List Price" on the site. You also don't need any special coupon(s), special code(s), or special pass phrase(s) to get the deals.

If you didn't see it, I posted up the official Nintendo Channel data for Kirby's Adventure, here! While putting that report together, I was looking at Kirby games on Amazon.com, and found a few that were discounted pretty significantly.

I also received an email reminder this morning about a 50% off used video games sale that is still happening, and will be through this Sunday.

If you're a Wii U owner and planning on grabbing one of the many new games releasing on the system this week, you might want to visit Target.com or your local Target store. If you haven't seen it already, Target is running a "Buy Two, Get One Free" video game sale, on select games for the Wii U and the other consoles.

As for new Wii U games releasing for the system this week that are included in the sale, there are four from my count:
1) LEGO City: Undercover is available today for the Wii U with a MSRP of $49.99.
2) Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is releasing tomorrow, March 19th, at a MSRP of $59.99.
3) Need for Speed: Most Wanted is also releasing Tuesday, with a MSRP of $59.99 as well.
4) The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be finding its way to store shelves Tuesday as well, but has a lower MSRP of $49.99 at most retailers, though you can pre-order right now and get it for just $37.49 from Amazon.com as I wrote about last week.

Again, if you want to see the games included just visit this Buy Two, Get One Free on Select Video Games at Target.com link, and see if there are any games available online or perhaps in stores that you might be interested in.

Depending on which Wii U games, or other system(s) games, you are interested in, you could be saving anywhere from $30 to $60 this week, while adding three new games to your collection.

Do you enjoy The Walking Dead TV series? Are you interested in the new The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct game that is scheduled to release next week, on March 19th?

If you have been interested in Fallout 3, but have never bought it, now may be a great time to grab it. The Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC is currently on sale for just $9.99.

The game is eligible for Amazon.com's "FREE Super Saver Shipping" which applies to orders totaling over $25, and is also eligible for free shipping for Amazon Prime members.

Coffee Shop - The Last Story for $8 on Amazon.com!

The title says it all really, The Last Story is currently on sale for only $8.00 on Amazon.com! I just did the debut data report on the game not even 2 weeks ago, which you can read HERE.

For $8.00, if you're like the average Wii owner that has reported data from the game, you should be able to expect at least around 18 hours of gameplay from The Last Story.

If you have been interested in the game, now is probably the best time to grab it if you wanted it, or are thinking about giving it as a birthday or Christmas gift this year. You can buy it now and just leave it in your collection of games as an incomplete game if you have a big backlog of games, which is not necessarily a bad thing; and if you grab it on sale that means there is more money, for more coffee in your pot!
