May the 4th Be With You! Hours From A Galaxy Far, Far Away...

 Coffee Beans:
May the 4th be with you!  If you don't/didn't know, today(or yesterday technically) was May 4th, and it has basically become the "official" Star Wars day.

Last year I showed the reported game-play data for some Wii Star Wars games, and there were 23,484,173 Total Hours reported from the Star Wars video game galaxy, on May 4, 2010.  You can read last year's report, HERE!

How many hours have been spent in the galaxy far, far away...in the last 365 days reported?  Let's take a look!

Data reported is for United States of America Wii owners, not world-wide.
Approx. Number of Players Having Reported Data:
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga now has 597,649 Wii owners that have reported play-time data through the Wii's Nintendo Channel.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed now has 417,291 Wii owners that have reported their data.
Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels now has 209,542 Wii owners having reported data.
Star Wars the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes has 61,216 players having reported data since it released in October 2009.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II has 23,419 players that have reported data since it released in October 2010.
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars now has 5,074 players having reported data through the Nintendo Channel.

Total Number of Players Having Reported Data, and Increased in the Last Year:
All the Wii Star Wars games combined have 1,314,191 players that have reported data through the Wii's Nintendo Channel, so far.

Just in the last 365 days reported though, with two new games being added and more players reporting data on the other titles, there are about 486,317 more players reflected in this year's data, than last year's.

Total Hours Reported, and Increased Since Last Year:
All the Wii Star Wars games with reported game-play hours have an incredible 41,939,242 Total Hours reported through the Nintendo Channel.

With two additional Star Wars games released on the Wii in the last year, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, as well as the continued play-times increasing for the other games, the number of hours spent in the Star Wars galaxy just in the last 365 days reported is 18,455,069 Total Hours.

The increase in Total Hours in just the last year, would be enough to make about 121,708 round trips to the moon.

Filtered Thoughts:
I left out the review score averages and the Amazon.com sales ranks...but I'll probably add them tomorrow (after my finals!).

While I have only played Star Wars: The Force Unleashed from the games reported on above, I would recommend it to Wii owners looking for a fun Star Wars game, with some decent motion controls and nice Force powers.

As for the others, I may add a few of them to my collection at some point, as I'm really interested in grabbing LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga now that it's under $20, and the same goes for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.

If you aren't familiar with any of these titles, the video below is a Star Wars trailer compilation, showing off several of the games above...as well as two Star Wars games from a console in the 90s!

Questions:
Did any of you tell somebody, "May the fourth be with you!"?  If you have played any of the Star Wars games reported on, are there any you would/wouldn't recommend?

Also, did the last two trailers shown cause anybody to have a flashback to the 90s?!

If anybody is interested in the Star Wars games reported on above, you can see prices for them on Amazon.com linked below:
