GoldenEye 007 Wii Multiplayer Freezing Issues

Coffee Beans:
     *Update: From the comments on the story, and my experience, it seems to be that Wii owners using LAN adapters to play GoldenEye 007 online are the ones that have experienced this issue.  The video that I included below was the only night that I have had this happen, and I have played the online multi-player more than 15 hours now.
     I purchased GoldenEye 007 last Tuesday when it was released.  I started playing online multiplayer matches last Friday night, after completing the single-player campaign first.
     I was playing GoldenEye 007 online last night again, and was recording footage for future YouTube videos.  Last night was the first night I had experienced the game freezing up in the middle of a match.  I didn't think much of it, and after having to do a hard reset of the Wii, I started playing a few matches again.
     While GoldenEye 007 has been running pretty well online for me, last night was my first night to experience the freezing issue, and you can see in the video below, it happened more than once:

Questions:
     Have any of you that have been playing GoldenEye 007 online, experienced the freezing issue?  If so, how often does it happen to you?

If anybody is interested in the GoldenEye 007, you can see prices for both bundles on Amazon.com linked below:

  1. No freezing for me. Just a lot of getting booted off by my router. We should play again sometime. It was fun even getting annihilated by the other team. :P

  2. this has happened to me. I was googling it to see what could be causing it and now here I am. It worked fine for about a week, happened to me for the first time last night, now it's happened like 3 or 4 times. I'll check back to see if you figure it out or if anyone else says anything.

    Yea, we had some good games that night...crazy capture card decided not to work properly though!

    @Anonymous from November 14, 2010:
    I think the Anonymous below you may have the answer, but I'm not positive. I do use a lan adapter when playing, so that may have been my issue that night.
    Do you use a lan adapter?

    @Anonymous from November 15, 2010 @ 1:02AM:
    Thanks for the feedback about the lan adapter, I have seen some reports on Black Ops having issues with the lan adapter as well, but no site really reporting on GoldenEye having issues with it.

    @earl:
    Yea, it hasn't happened but I think this one night so far, though I did have a random glitch that just froze the menu when the host quit during one match.

    Thank you all for the comments/feedback! I hope to play some of you online soon!

    It seems like the issue is a server side error(coding issue?) with the game, and it's really random. I'm not sure what it is, but when it happens(not often to me), it requires a hard reset of my Wii system...and logging back into the game again.

    Also, I have had it freeze up when searching for matches while I was using a WiFi connection, but not every two or three matches.
    I haven't played this week yet, so I'll see how it works Thursday night when I hop on, and if it's messing up again, I'll comment back here for you.

    By the time I rank up enough to get the grenade launcher, it may be 2012!
    I'm currently trying to get through my list of current generation backlogged games, which will take me a little while.

    @Joe:
    Are you playing long sessions when it freezes up? Or, are you matches just freezing when it's trying to find a match?

    Thank you both for the comments/feedback!

  11. This usually happened to me whenever I tried to join into an online game I previously quit, but now it's happening during the games, as well. Why does this happen? Sometimes I can almost "sense" my Wii will freeze before it happens. I like to play Black Box, so whenever M, or Trevelyen, or whatever team I'm on, don't talk to me, I know something's wrong. Is it a server issue? Is it a virus? Please help me! Thanks!

  12. Every time I play Wii 007 Goldeneye online it happens by the 3rd match, regardless of mode (blackbox, team deathmatch, goldeneye, golden gun etc). I use a wifi connection to my D-Link Router. I'm a level 26, My son is a 15, and it happens to him just as often. Last night I was into my 2nd match with a friend, mine locked up but his connection didn't. I have a DSL connection, use OpenDNS, and make sure no other machine is online while playing. Any ideas/fixes?

  13. This happened to me more times than usual. The only game that this has ever happened before is NBA 2K3 on Gamecube. Goldeneye has been freezing often. It's just a pain. It doesn't look like anyone has answers.
