Who Dat? Do Wii Owners Play Football Games?

Well, football season ended Sunday night with the New Orleans Saints' big win.  After the game I thought, "I wonder how the Madden NFL Wii games are doing with the reported stats?"

Let's take a look!

Do Wii owners play football games?
I would say the stats show they definitely do!

Questions:
If you watched the game, were you going for the Saints or the Colts?
Did you have a favorite commercial during the game?
Last, but not least, have you played any of the Madden NFL Wii games?  If so, what do you think of them?

  1. I was going for the Saints, I like rooting for the underdogs as I think a majority of people were fans of the Colts and Peyton Manning.

My favorite ad was the google ad, found @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxyVpSUw6Kg

I have never played a Madden game on wii and haven't played any Madden game since 2005.

  2. Madden 08 left such a bad taste in my mouth that I swore off video football for all eternity. I think 2 million other people got that same taste in their mouth.

In all seriousness, I'll probably buy 2010 though, around august when its $5 new. Don't really care if I can't find it.

I just wish they'd release Football Engine. Give us the option of cartoony style or realistic style. Release yearly roster updates (I'll pay money for these) and then only make a new box release every 5 years or so, when significant changes can be packed in.

They could have done that with the engine for madden 2005, I would've paid $10 bucks for every roster since then and they would have ended up ahead.

Yea, the Google ad reminded me of how much I use Google!

    @Thaddeus Venture:
I agree with you about them just releasing a new retail game every 5 years, and updating the roster every year for a price. I don't buy sports games often, because of the endless "sequels" that change so very little.

I didn't watch the game, and I didn't really care which team won, though I'm glad the Saints finally made it and won it their first time.

I've watch several of the commercials, and the eTrade baby commercial is pretty high up on my list, along with the Doritos dog commercial.

  4. I think the Colts were a better team so before the game started I thought they deserved to win.

I like the commercial with Jay Leno and David Letterman.

I have not played Madden NFL on Wii but I imagine moving the controller around might be more fun than moving fingers around.

  5. @Madden Online Tips:
    Thanks for the comment!

I just watched the Jay Leno and David Letterman commercial. Very odd.

As for Madden on the Wii, I've only played Madden 07, and I liked what they were attempting to do back then, but I haven't played it since.

I'm guessing the controls have been improved and tweaked some each year, but the graphics in Madden 10 on the Wii just seemed to upset a lot of people.
