Buy One Game, Get One for 40% Off! - GameStop.com

Coffee Beans
Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo have wrapped up their E3 conferences and with some new games being shown, apparently GameStop wanted to remind everybody about the games that are already out (as well as the consoles), and just sent out some new specials being offered on GameStop.com.

Here are links for some of the deals they are offering:
     1) Buy one game priced $49.99 or more and receive 40% off a game of equal or lesser value. Expires 6/12. Use code: 40GAME
     2) $50 gift card with purchase of any pre-owned PlayStation 3 console at GameStop.com
     3) $25 gift card with purchase of any pre-owned Nintendo Wii console at GameStop.com
     4) $25 gift card with purchase of any pre-owned Xbox 360 console at GameStop.com

The promotions listed above run through June 11, so you have almost another full week to enjoy the savings being offered. Personally, Xenoblade Chronicles and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier look tempting with the deal. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is $59.99 and Xenoblade Chronicles is $49.99, so I could get both games for just over $90, instead of the usual $110 I would be paying at their current MSRP prices.

Question
Are there any recently released games such as Diablo III, Max Payne 3, or even Ghost Recon: Future Soldier or Xenoblade Chronicles you think would be great to grab with this deal?

  1. Nope. I have nothing that needs to be purchased from there. I have Pikmin 2 coming out Sunday which I will use my Rewards Zone card at Best Buy for, and I have Theatrhythm Final Fantasy pre-ordered at Amazon.

  2. There's some interesting deals in there, but with my semi-enforced purchase freeze, I will probably steer clear for now. The nice thing is, I'm building up a pretty good sized stack of games for trade-in at this rate with everything I have been beating of late. Just not sure what I'll turn it into later in the year.

  3. " I have Pikmin 2 coming out Sunday..."
Did you play the GC version, or will this be your first time playing the game?

    "Theatrhythm Final Fantasy"
Ah, I have seen a few pieces on this, but not looked much at them. Probably because of the words "Final Fantasy" being in the title.
