Filtered Thoughts:
While I haven't played LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, if you have been reading my blog for a while, you may know I'm a huge Star Wars fan; but you also probably know I'm extremely cheap!
Can you spot our son?  This was his first trip out of the house!
While Mrs. Coffee and I greatly enjoyed the first two LEGO Star Wars games, we never purchased them when they released as the Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga edition a few years back; though that may change.  We will probably purchase The Complete Saga first, then pick up LEGO Star Wars III sometime after that.

I think seeing the average hours "Per person"(or Wii console) being so close to 3 hours per session, shows that gamers are playing LEGO Star Wars III, and they are playing for long sessions, not just quick, short, sessions.
It only took 35 days until I spotted the data was reported for the game, which is pretty good for LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars; and with its solid averages, it will probably continue to have good word-of-mouth and that will help further sales of the game.

Questions:
Have any of you played LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars on the Wii(or other systems), and if so, how do you think it compares to the original LEGO Star Wars games?
Do you think the Force is stronger, or weaker with LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars?

  1. I've played all of the Lego games to date. It's by far the best Star Wars game in the series. I really like the addition of the bigger battles and the sheer number of characters on the screen at one time.

Despite that, though, I still think Lego Harry Potter is the best game in the franchise so far. Really looking forward to Pirates coming soon.

  2. @Tony:
I know you played the 3DS version, did you also play the Wii version(I think you said you bought it for the console)?

Kind of interesting, I've been tracking the LEGO Harry Potter game, but it still hasn't "debuted" with hours yet...and I think it's because it's an EA published title, and they don't have it programmed right.

Pirates should be a great game for the series, I mean the movies already have quirky humor, so I can only imagine it in the games with the "LEGO" style humor they do.

    Thanks for the comment/feedback!

  3. I did pick up the Wii version of the game. Despite some very basic similarities (like level names and a few shared assets) they're completely different games. The Wii version is much more complex. The puzzles really require two people to complete (though as always they can be done with one person playing both parts.)

I liked both of them, and since they're so different, I really had no problem paying for both. Having a really good Lego game on the go has been good.
