The Nintendo Channel Data Breakdown:
Wii Sports Resort, released in July of this year, has 217,066 players reporting data so far.
Wii Fit Plus, released in October, has 65,423 players reporting data.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii, released on November 15, already has 134,653 players reporting data on the Nintendo Channel.

Sales:
Wii Sports Resort's Amazon.com sale rank was #9 and the current selling price is $55.41*.
Wii Fit Plus' Amazon.com sale rank was #1(game with board) and #10 for just the software.  The current sell price for Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board is $99.99, and the selling price for just the software is $19.99.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii's Amazon.com sale rank was #5 and the selling price is $49.99.

Amazon.com won't have New Super Mario Bros. Wii back in stock, until January 10, but they are still selling it directly.  Wii Sports Resort is available from Amazon.com for $46.99, but the site says, "Usually ships in 2 to 4 weeks", when I initially searched for it, the initial price listing for Wii Sports Resort was $55.41 from a 3rd Party on Amazon.com.

Reviews:
The review score average for all the games has stayed the same since last week, with no new reviews being added to MetaCritic.com.

Thoughts:
I find it pretty crazy that Amazon.com can't keep New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and now Wii Sports Resort, in stock.  Amazon.com just yesterday, January 3, had New Super Mario Bros. Wii back in stock, and sold out between last night and today.  Wii Sports Resort is really crazy to me, as that game was released in July!
If New Super Mario Bros. Wii didn't sell 4.7 million copies in December, Nintendo has a serious problem with meeting demand.  The reason I say that is because Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sold 4.7 million copies, just on release day.

Question:
Same as last week, for anybody that missed it.  Did anybody receive New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports Resort, or Wii Fit Plus for Christmas or other holidays?  If so, what are your thoughts and opinions about the games from what you've been able to play?

  1. The wife loves Wii Fit Plus. She sets her calorie goal for the session and when she meets it, she is thrilled. It really motivates her to keep at it. Too bad there's not a mode on there to tell the game that you are pregnant. Her Wii Fit age is 43!

  2. My wife had the same issue with the original Wii Fit. Pregnancy doesn't mean you are trying to lose weight, and the game doesn't recognize that or even show an option for it. So, the further they get in the pregnancy, the higher their age gets...which I wonder if that's why my wife didn't keep playing it!
