Mutant Mudds Deluxe, easy enough for kids, hard enough for parents? One big difference between the PC and Wii U versions.

Mutant Mudds Deluxe released today on the Wii U and is available to purchase from the eShop for $9.99. The game was developed and published by Renegade Kid, and has an ESRB rating of "EVERYONE" with "Mild Fantasy Violence" listed as content for parents and gamers to be aware of.

I purchased the PC version of Mutant Mudds last year when it released, and you can read some of my impressions of that version HERE. Bean 1 (our oldest son) started playing the PC version, after watching me play it, and considering his age he is pretty good at the game using mouse and keyboard controls.

I was planning on buying the Wii U version today so he could play it with a more standard controller and button layout (like what he's used to with the Mario games); plus, I really enjoyed the PC version and wanted to play the new levels added to the Wii U version.

I saw that Renegade Kid was doing a contest giving away copies of the Wii U game. It was a drawing/art contest, but they even made it possible for a "non-artist" like myself to be able to enter, giving us an option to create a digital image or collage using existing images.

Mutant Mudds was released last week on August 30th, for PCs everywhere. A portion of the game's description reads, "Love pixels? Fond of platformers? Is there a special place in your heart for the 8-bit and 16-bit era? Want to have fun? Yes!? Well, you've come to the right place, my friend. Mutant Mudds is a '12-bit' action platformer full of pixels and platforming fun!"

Being that I have a fondness for platformers, I took advantage of an early sale price and downloaded Mutant Mudds for my PC 2 nights ago, and I have already played through several of the levels. How far have I made it battling the filthy Mutant Mudds, and what do I think of the game so far? Mutant Mudds gets official PC release date, price, & trailer!

Renegade Kid, developer of the award-winning Nintendo DS Dementium series, has revealed that their Nintendo 3DS title Mutant Mudds, now has an official PC release date and price (sorry, no Mac version yet).

Mutant Mudds will be available to purchase before August ends, and if you purchase the game within the first week it's available you will save 20% off the regular price. To see what apparent platforming greatness awaits you later this month in Mutant Mudds' PC release, check out the new trailer for the game below!


Mutant Mudds will be available to purchase through several PC distribution partners. Those are currently listed as: GOG.com, GAMERSGATE.com, DESURA.com, and apparently through Renegade Kid's own digital shop, Renegade Shop.

The PC version is releasing at a price point of just $9.99, but as mentioned above, if you purchase Mutant Mudds between August 30th and September 5th, you will get the game for its "Introductory Price" of just $7.99; a 20% savings.
