Current Wii U trade-in values - Amazon.com, Best Buy, & GameStop

Coffee Beans
The Wii U released on November 18, 2012, just over 4 months ago now in the United States. As you may well know, the Wii U system released in two sets: the Deluxe Set with a MSRP of $349.99 and the Basic Set with a MSRP of $299.99.

Sony has already made the official announcement about the PlayStation 4, and while we don't know a price point on it yet, you can already sign up on Amazon.com and at GameStop stores to be notified when they get more information.

Microsoft is supposed to be revealing information about their next console (Xbox, Durango?) soon,  and we don't what the price(s) on that new system will be either.

You may own a Wii U and sometimes wonder what the current trade-in value is for it. If you're thinking about trading in the Wii U now and putting the amount you get from it toward a new system, how much can you currently get for your Wii U system? Brew yourself some coffee, and let's take a look at the current trade-in values for the Wii U Deluxe Set and Wii U Basic Set!

GameStop Wii U Pre-order Reservations Now Open!

Coffee Beans
Do you want to skip the lines and not have to hunt for the Wii U when it releases on November 18th? Well, GameStop is now taking reservations for the Wii U system, both the $299.99 and $349.99 Wii U systems.

If you are a PowerUp Rewards member you can reserve a Wii U system for just $25, and if you're not a GameStop PowerUp Rewards member you can reserve a Wii U system for $50.

You don't even have to visit a GameStop store to reserve, or pre-order, the new Wii U console, as GameStop.com just opened up their Wii U page and are taking reservations for it directly online.

You can reserve the Wii U system and games from GameStop.comHERE.

If so, you might want to know Game Stop just announced they are bringing back, "Our most popular promotion..." for the weekend only, and only at GameStop.com. I believe most Game Stop store locations close early on Sundays, around 6:00PM, so you might want to call before you head out if you wait until late this afternoon/evening.

The sale is running today, Friday June 29, through Sunday July 1. You can see all selection of games currently available, here: Buy 2 Get 1 Free on Pre-Owned Games and Accessories at Gamestop.com. Expires 7/1

Current 3DS Trade-in Values - Amazon.com & GameStop

Coffee Beans
Nintendo just held their Nintendo Direct conferences for Japan, North America, and Europe. They announced a new 3DS model, the 3DS XL, and you may be wondering, "Coffee, I already own one of the original 3DS systems. What should I do?"
Well, if you perhaps really, really, REALLY want the new 3DS XL system, you have a few options.
Option 1: Keep your old 3DS model, AND buy the new XL model. Not a bad option to have the older 3DS system around for when the inevitable day comes (maybe in another 20 years) that the new 3DS XL system stops working. Or, perhaps when its larger screen will crack, or you drop it because its larger size in general. In any case, you will be prepared with the original 3DS model in standby.
Option 2: Sell your original 3DS model yourself, perhaps on sites like Ebay, Craigslist, or even Amazon.com. Just make sure the site and your method of selling it on your own is safe.
Option 3: Trade-in your old 3DS model, and use the trade-in credit to purchase the new 3DS XL model.

The key is how much can you currently get for the original 3DS model though, and how much trouble do you want to go through. Brew some coffee, and take a look at the current trade-in values for the original 3DS system!
