All Call of Duty Games Play-Time Data for Wii

Quick Brew Info:
The Call of Duty series, on the Wii, started with the Wii launch and Call of Duty 3.  All of the Call of Duty games on the Wii have been developed by Treyarch, even Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex; which was a port of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Do Wii owners enjoy the Call of Duty games?  Let's take a look!

Approx. Number of Players Reporting Data:
Call of Duty 3 has 271,237 players reporting play-time data, since it released in November 2006.
Call of Duty: World at War has 211,013 players reporting play-time data, since the game released in November 2008.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex has 81,438 players reporting play-time data, since it released in November 2009.

"Total" Game-Play & Average Hours Played Reported:
Call of Duty 3 has 3,598,861 Total Hours reported, with 13 Hours 16 Minutes averaged per person reporting data.  The average play-time per person, per play session, is about 1 Hour 29 minutes.
Call of Duty: World at War has 10,764,662 Total Hours reported, with 51 hours 1 Minute averaged per person/console reporting data.  The average play-time per person, per gaming session, is about 2 Hours 9 minutes.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex has 4,409,356 Total Hours reported, with 54 Hours 8 Minutes averaged per player reporting data.  Its average play-time per gaming session is about 2 Hours 22 minutes.

Sale Rank & Advertised Price:
Call of Duty 3's Amazon.com sale rank is #1,473, and the current advertised listed price is $69.00.
Call of Duty: World at War's Amazon.com sale rank is #730, and its selling for $29.26.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex's Amazon.com sale rank is #483, and is selling for $40.54.

Review Score Averages:
The image above in the article shows the GameRankings.com review score averages for each game, and the number of "professional" reviews associated with each game.

Here is what each game looks like from Amazon.com customer reviews:
Click picture to enlarge for Amazon.com review scores breakdown
Call of Duty 3 has a 3.5 out of 5 Star rating, based on 71 customer reviews.
Call of Duty World at War has a 4 out of 5 Star rating, based on 90 customer reviews.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex has a 4.5 out of 5 Star rating, based on 63 customer reviews.

Thoughts:
I think it's interesting that Call of Duty 3 has 60,224 more players reporting play-time data, than Call of Duty: World at War.  I really thought Call of Duty: World at War would have more players reporting data, because of its online multi-player.  I guess the two year head-start of Call of Duty 3 is the main reason it's still leading.
On Friday, I posted the article, "What Is the Most Played FPS Game on the Wii?" I reported that Call of Duty: World at War is currently the most played FPS Wii game, according to "total game-play hours reported, not just the average hours per person/console."
A reader, WesFX, asked in the comments section of the article, "So does the trophy for most hours played per individual go to a different game?"
While Call of Duty: World at War is the Wii's most played FPS according to "Total" game-play hours reported; the trophy for most hours played per individual goes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex.  As the data picture shows and I stated above, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex has an average of 54 Hours 8 Minutes per player reporting data, about 3 hours higher than Call of Duty: World at War's average.

I think the play-time data for the Call of Duty Wii games clearly shows Wii owners enjoy the online aspect of the games; especially when considering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex passed Call of Duty 3's "total hours" reported, only a few months after it released this past November.

Questions:
Have you played any of the Call of Duty Wii games?  If so, are your average hours per game close to what is being reported?

Zombies by Mail!

Last Wednesday, July 28, around noon, I was hanging out in our living room with my son.  The doorbell rang and then we heard a truck drive off.  I said, "Sounded like a UPS truck."
My wife went and opened the door and found this:

What was in the package is one reason I have not played Monster Hunter Tri since last week.
This is what was in the package...

Keith, from RespawnAction.com, mailed me the copy of Call of Duty: World at War!
We have been playing the Nazi Zombie mode since last week, and having a lot of fun with it.
We have made it 24 rounds in the Nazi Zombie mode so far, and seem to be improving each night we play it.
If you are not familiar with what the Nazi Zombie mode is in Call of Duty: World at War, I should have a video up in the next week of some game-play from it.

If you have a PS3 and own Call of Duty: World at War, my PSN name is Hoj_Latte.  Feel free to add me and perhaps we can fight some Nazi Zombies together!

Thanks again to Keith for mailing me the game; it was unexpected, but greatly appreciated!

Conduit 2 Release Date Confirmed?

1-27-2011 UPDATE on the UPDATE, about the UPDATE, for the UPDATE!  It seems Sega and HVS are playing the "delay fish" game, and announced today(yesterday technically) that the game has been delayed again, and Conduit 2 will now be released on April 19, 2011.

UPDATE for the Update on the Update!  Conduit 2's release date has now been confirmed for March 22, 2011 and will retail for $49.99.  Sega/HVS announced the release date change, but didn't state why it was changed.

Update on the Update!  Conduit 2's release date has been confirmed for Tuesday, February 15, 2011.  You can pre-order it now!

Thoughts:
If you click the image above, you will see that both Amazon.com and GameStop.com have Conduit 2 now with a release date of November 2, 2010.
I know many times companies like Game Stop and Amazon.com will use placeholder release dates, but this date does fall on a Tuesday, which is often the day new games are released.
The date, November 2, 2010, also goes along with the "Fall 2010" target release mentioned in Sega's press release, when they announced Conduit 2.
If November 2, 2010, is the release date, I think it's going to be very interesting seeing how Conduit 2 performs, if Treyarch/Activision release another Call of Duty Wii game this fall in November.

Call of Duty 3 was released on November 21, 2006.
Call of Duty: World at War was released on November 11, 2008.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex was released on November 10, 2009.

Questions:
Do you think November 2, 2010, will end up being the release date for Conduit 2?
If so, and another Call of Duty game is released on the Wii this November as well, do you plan on buying both games, or just one?
If just one, which game do you plan on buying, Conduit 2 or the next Call of Duty?

As for myself, I do want to hear more details about Conduit 2, mainly on the multiplayer and hearing confirmation the spawn bug isn't present, that was present in The Conduit.  If Treyarch is developing the next Call of Duty Wii game, I'm already leaning towards Call of Duty, because of Treyarch's past two Wii Call of Duty games.
I am assuming another Call of Duty game will be released on the Wii this, though one hasn't been officially announced yet.

If you're interested in any of the games mentioned, you can see some of their new and used prices on Amazon.com below:

Flashback Comparison: The Conduit vs Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex]

(Click photo to enlarge)

The Nintendo Channel Data:
The data presented here was captured 34 days after both games released, so it's basically comparing apples to apples, when talking about the data reported on the Nintendo Channel for both games.

"Total" Game-Play Hours Reported:
The Conduit had 263,608 "Total" hours of reported game-play 34 days after it released.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] had only 138,726 "Total" hours of reported game-play 34 days after it released.
In the first 34 days, The Conduit beat Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] by 124,882 "Total" reported game-play hours.

Number of Players Reporting Data:
The Conduit had 16,743 players reporting game-play data on the Nintendo Channel, 34 days after it's release.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] had 6,184 players reporting game-play data on the Nintendo Channel, 34 days after it's release.
The Conduit had 10,559 more players reporting game-play data 34 days after it's release, than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] did 34 days after it released.

Average Total Hours Per Person:
This piece of data I find extremely interesting.
The Conduit averaged 15 Hours 46 Minutes of play-time, "Per person",  34 days after it released on June 23.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] averaged 22 Hours 27 Minutes of play-time, "Per person", 34 days after it released on November 10.
As of the data on the Nintendo Channel on December 14, 2009, The Conduit has averaged 22 Hours 16 Minutes of play-time "Per person", since it released back in June.
In just 34 days since it released, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] has passed The Conduit's average play-time, "Per person".

Reviews:
The review score average is not based off of data 34 days after both games released.
The Conduit has a MetaCritic.com review score average of 69% out of 100%, based off of 79 "critic" reviews.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] has a MetaCritic.com review score average of 77% out of 100%, based off of 35 "critic" reviews.

Thoughts/Questions:
Kotaku.com's, Stephen Totilo has tracked and shown "The 10 Most Avidly-Played Wii Games", according to the average hours "Per person", for several months now.  Call of Duty: World at War currently sits in 4th place overall, with an average of 50 Hours 48 Minutes "Per person".
Being that Call of Duty: World at War was released in November 2008, and with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] already at 22 Hours 27 Minutes average play-time "Per person", I wonder if it will join Stephen Totilo's "Top 10" most played games chart on the Wii within the next year?

I've only played The Conduit, and I enjoyed the single-player campaign, and I enjoyed the multi-player, when it functioned properly.
If you have played both The Conduit and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex], I would love to know which game you think is better, and your reasons why you favor one game over the other.

A Wii FPS Year's Perspective: Call of Duty

A Year's Perspective of Call of Duty: World at War

(click photo to enlarge)

Call of Duty: World at War was released November 11, 2008 on the Wii.  I've been tracking Call of Duty: World at War's Nintendo Channel data on the Wii for a few months now, and it's been increasing more than 100K hours every week that I've been following it.

Numbers:
Over the last year, according the the Wii's Nintendo Channel data, Call of Duty: World at War has amassed 6,897,580 hours of total game play data, from approximately 137,925 players.

Thoughts:
I played A LOT of Call of Duty: World at War on the Wii.  I bought the game at the very end of December and played it pretty consistently through April.  I finally beat Call of Duty: World at War on Veteran difficulty, which was absolutely insane, in October.  Call of Duty: World at War is my most played Wii game to date, which I find a little odd, considering I bought my Wii one week after it's release, and didn't buy Call of Duty: World at War until more than two years later.

Question:
Being that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] just released on the Wii, if you played Call of Duty: World at War before, how would you rate Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] to Call of Duty: World at War?
Do you think in one year's time, that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [Reflex] will pass Call of Duty: World at War's one year totals for game play data on the Wii's Nintendo Channel?

The Conduit's 13 weeks.

The Conduit was released on June 23, 2009.  For 13 straight weeks, The Conduit was ranked ahead of Call of Duty: World at War on Amazon.com's "Shooter" sales rank list for the Wii.

After checking the ranking tonight, The Conduit is ranked below Call of Duty: World at War(as well as Resident Evil 4 and NERF-N-Strike Bundle).  I consider Call of Duty: World at War to be a FPS more closely along with same lines as The Conduit, than I do Resident Evil 4 or NERF-N-Strike Bundle.

If you haven't picked up The Conduit, or even Call of Duty: World at War for the Wii, do you plan on buying either game at this point?  If you're a Wii only owner, are you now maybe waiting for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare [REFLEX] this November, instead of purchasing either The Conduit or Call of Duty: World at War?
