Coffee Shop! Rayman Legends on sale for $40

Coffee Shop
Rayman Legends just released last month, on September 3rd, with a MSRP of $59.99 on every major home console (360, PS3, Wii U). It's been less than a month since it released, and the game is now seeing its first major sale already.

The game was developed and published by Ubisoft, and received an ESRB rating of "EVERYONE 10+" with "Cartoon Violence, Comic Mischief" listed as content for parents and gamers to be aware of.

GameStop.com currently has Rayman Legends for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 on sale for just $39.99. You can see all the versions (including PC and PS Vita) of Rayman Legends listed HERE.

Here are direct links to each versions' individual page if you're interested in grabbing it right now:

Rayman Legend for the Xbox 360 on sale for $39.99, HERE.
Rayman Legends for the PS Vita on sale for $29.99, HERE.

*Update: Amazon.com earlier this afternoon price-matched GameStop's price on the Wii U and PS Vita versions of Rayman Legends, HERE and HERE. I'm including all the current versions on Amaazon.com below, in case they price-match the other versions as well:

Questions
If you have played Rayman Legends (I haven't), would you recommend the game at this price or even at its regular MSRP of $59.99?

Also, if you have played the Wii U version, does the full game make good use of the Wii U's GamePad?

  1. The Wii U version's use of the gamepad is the single best application of the gamepad that I've seen to date. It's remarkable and makes an amazing game even better. Having played NintendoLand, ZombiU, WW HD, NSMBU, FIFA 13, Lego City Undercover, and Rayman Legends on the Wii U, I can say that it is the best of any of those titles by far. I prefer it to any of the titles I've seen or demo'ed which goes beyond those listed as well. It's fantastic.

  2. So - admission time: I have never played a Rayman game. They look cool enough, but just never quite make the cut in terms of what I make time for.

  3. Lego City! Its so underrated. Everytime I play it Im amazed at how much stuff is in that game. Taking video calls on the tablet was a cool idea.

  4. Platformers, not exactly your bag.

I've heard alot of good things about the Wii U version, though some say that they weren't blown away. I think it's still a great game and fun integration of the gamepad, but that's probably more of a testament of Rayman Origins.

I've only played the demo a bit.

  5. I have played the Wii U demo for Rayman Legends, and thought it had some good use of the GamePad. Does the full game feature more GamePad controls, or just what the demo has?

Thanks for stopping by and leaving the comment and feedback! My NNID is Coffees, if you're looking for more people to add to your list.

  6. I agree on LEGO City Undercover being underrated. I finished the game in September, and had a blast with it. Unfortunately, I have experienced a major issue with the game...which is preventing me from playing it now!

Thanks for the comment and feedback!

  7. Rayman Origins was a very good platformer (played the Wii version), but it was also challenging. Perhaps too challenging for the Mario audience, and I'm kind of curious how Rayman Legends is on the challenge side.

    Thanks for the feedback!

YOU HAVE!? The Wii U demo? *No more hot chocolate, only coffee!
Do you have something to announce?

  9. lol, not what you think (might be delayed a bit - more later)

Tried it out at Gamestop and BestBuy a few times. Kind of interested in the difficulty level as well.

    Oh really? *attaches image...

  11. Yeah, I just wound up with a freebie Rayman game on my Vita through PlayStation Plus so I will hopefully play that soon. No reason not to, right?

  12. Do you know what that is from? Bonus Coffee points that don't exist anymore if you do.

  13. Is the one you got the Rayman runner game, that was on iOS and mobile? Or, is it the original Origins?

If you need a reason to not play it, there is definitely one very legitimate reason not to play it, remaining incomplete and continuing to have a backlog. :)

  14. Reminds me of a Mel Brooks thing - History of the World part 2, though offhand I'm not actually positive that it is.

  15. I agree, but will be soon enough after Birthdays and holidays...

  16. Nope. -100 for not knowing.

    #BonusFail!

After holidays, so like January...when they drop it down to $250?! *This guy trying to get more complete during the holidays, what a crying shame!

  17. Ah, rats, just hang onto the coffee rewards then..

Yep, along with waiting to see how holiday expenses go, another price drop or some wild Black Friday sales would also help. :)

Trimming the Backlog? Who wants a small one of those?

No more hot chocolate would help also...

On the backlog, I think everybody should have one. At least a solid 12 games, that way it's at least one per month.

  19. LOL - I'd have to look to see which one it was. I want to say it might have been legends as well, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm not Robert though - I don't STRIVE to have a backlog, I just do. I don't leave a lot of my started games incomplete however. Started a couple more last night, so we'll see how quickly I can get through them.

  20. Nope, I'm afraid I don't. Can't even honestly say if it looks familiar to me or not. It kind of does, but i'm not placing it. My answer is as incomplete as Robert's gaming. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh SNAP! "Incomplete as Robert's gaming". Well, I'll leave you two at it...

*Can't believe these two don't know it!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think Robert's account may have been hacked! A message about SUPPOSEDLY completing a game was recently received from it...but I'm having trouble believing it. NOBODY that runs a site called IncompleteGaming, ACTUALLY completes games. FACT.

  23. It's pretty unbelievable indeed, I don't blame you for being wary. Even with a game like Limbo that took me almost two years to _start_ playing after purchase... Put in about 6-7 hours which is a pretty good length for me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Did you wind up beating it then? Limbo wasn't a terribly long game if I remember right - I think I capped it around the 5 or 6 hr mark.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I did and that's correct it is fairly short. I think steam says 7 hours, but it was probably about 6/6.5 with having to pause and tend to other things.

I'm not sure that I'm going to go for the achievements, but might give it another run through later.
