Coffee Beans:
The Conduit was released on June 23, 2009 as a Wii exclusive. The game had a lot of coverage/hype leading up to its release, and its developer, HVS, was very active in promoting the game.
I was excited about the game, especially with the idea of fully customizable FPS controls on the Wii. I reserved the game, and picked it up day one. I beat the single-player campaign four complete times, accomplished the "achievements" in the game, and I spent more than 100 hours with the game's online multi-player; but then I traded it off, and then got it back again!
While the game wasn't perfect, it resulted with a game engine and foundation for HVS to build off of. It was revealed in March 2010 that HVS was working on a sequel to The Conduit, Conduit 2, which just released yesterday.
How many hours have Wii owners reported playing The Conduit, with 665 days of game-play reported before Conduit 2 released? Let's take a look!

Filtered Thoughts:
As I mentioned in the "Coffee Beans" section, Conduit 2 was just released for the Wii yesterday. Due to my New Year's resolution, I didn't purchase Conduit 2 yesterday, but I'm definitely interested in playing the game. Being that I beat The Conduit four times, I'm very interested to see how well the single-player campaign is in Conduit 2. If you haven't seen anything on Conduit 2, here's one of the first trailers released for the game:
As for the data, I think The Conduit's reported game-play hours would be a lot higher, if it weren't for the hackers and bugs/glitches that plagued the game's online multi-player.
I think I have mentioned it before in other posts, but it appears that Amazon.com doesn't carry the game directly anymore, and it's only fulfilled by them, or sold directly by third party vendors. When Amazon.com doesn't have a game directly listed, that usually means it's no longer being published/distributed by the publisher anymore.
Questions:
If you played The Conduit and you have made the jump to Conduit 2, have you encountered any online glitches/hacks that were in the original?
If any of you have purchased Conduit 2, what do you think about the game from what you have played so far?
If anybody is interested in either The Conduit, or Conduit 2, you can see prices for both on Amazon.com linked below:
