Seems to be a split of opinion on it.

@Anonymous from September 29, 2010:
Did the game look as good as Resident Evil 4 on the Wii? If you remember anyway...I thought I read that it didn't seem like DR:CTYD looked as well as Resident Evil 4 Wii, perhaps because of the setting? I don't remember exactly what they said the problem was.

@Anonymous from September 30:
The non-ported games really make me wonder if/when Nintendo is going to approach third parties more often.
It seems Nintendo is good at playing the smoke-and-mirrors game of, "We don't have third party support like we want, but we are working on it.", but nothing has really changed.

Thank you all for the comments!coffeewithgameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05381995224445934504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-53983929280008982242010-09-30T00:12:33.400-04:002010-09-30T00:12:33.400-04:00I loved the Wii version. It's such a shame we won't get a DR2 port.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-27689916763265481882010-09-29T19:02:24.666-04:002010-09-29T19:02:24.666-04:00Bought the game, it was mostly a guilty pleasure. ...Bought the game, it was mostly a guilty pleasure. If you played the 360 version, the Wii is a downgrade in terms of scale. Closed of areas, zombies appearing out of thin air. Plus; the thing that made Dead Rising so unique was the use of accidental weaponry. Umbrella's, pipes, bats, mannequins...

The Wii version kind of neglected that by using the RE 4 Wii Edition engine which is a superb engine (and I wished Capcom maden an entirely new game with it) and dropping crazy loads of ammo. Still, that proved enough to be fun for a weekend. It plays better when compared to the 360 original. Still in terms of the real deal, the Wii version doesn't come even close.

Also, Dead Rising 2 won't see a Wii release because... well, yeah. Except for Sengoku Basara 3 Capcom's Wii output is gone, in favour of 3DS development. If Dead Rising returns, it will be the next installment on a new Nintendo platform.

And I need to pick up my PC copy of Dead Rising 2. Can't wait.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-59108490747760409912010-09-29T18:39:24.172-04:002010-09-29T18:39:24.172-04:00I played the game, and went through the whole thin...I played the game, and went through the whole thing. I didn't mind it at all, and the text was easier to read then the 360 version. It is a nice little fun game to play.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03952625206890598129noreply@blogger.com
