I don't know how hard the AI gets though.Jonathnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-63018371675389444722010-04-20T20:18:39.448-04:002010-04-20T20:18:39.448-04:00@coffeewithgames

I don't know why people keep saying it's the best version though, as I put it pretty far down the list (I think people are too caught up in the list of features).

Anyways, I think everybody is better off with the console version of Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing. If they ever do a portable specific version, than it might get interesting.

JonathAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-18017976786503675112010-04-20T16:18:12.086-04:002010-04-20T16:18:12.086-04:00@The Dread Pirate Guy:

Largely due to the more diverse character roster, and I think the gameplay is more balanced and less "cheap".

Mario has a tendency to "punish" good players, which I hated, and even if I lose in Sonic, I feel the loss is more reasonable. A good player in last place can pull through on being a skilled driver and finding shortcuts. The Dread Pirate Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01412307747681517027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-48289085265879271062010-04-17T00:20:38.340-04:002010-04-17T00:20:38.340-04:00@Jonath:

I have it, and used to play it a good bit, but haven't played my DS in a long while.

Thanks for the feedback and reply!coffeewithgameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05381995224445934504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-36479359509585190352010-04-16T21:37:39.065-04:002010-04-16T21:37:39.065-04:00I'm playing the Wii version. I've only played with motion controls (basically Wii wheel without the wheel) and I find that it doesn't control as well as Mario Kart but the transition to drift feels more natural though less precise.

I also tried the demo for DS from the Nintendo Channel but I didn't like it much. There weren't enough opponents on the track to make it interesting, it felt empty. While the graphics were pretty good, I'll always hate pixelly 3D (which is why I preferred the smooth textures of the N64 over PS1). I think there's no drift button on the DS, it slides automatically which makes the controls feel a bit loose.

JonathAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-18813630349950889362010-04-15T02:03:05.153-04:002010-04-15T02:03:05.153-04:00@Chuckpebble:

The tracks so far are really boring. At least the environments were well designed. The controls feel a bit weird but overall, I think it's worth it, especially at the slightly lower price.

JonathAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-29608419430640046782010-04-13T23:33:31.871-04:002010-04-13T23:33:31.871-04:00I wrote a review on my blog for the PS3 version.

Never was a big fan of Sonic, but I'd love to see the little guy succeed again.Chuckpebblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12294181146939134410noreply@blogger.com
