I didn't beat it, and I doubt I finished more than half of it.

My Nintendo Channel data says I have 2 1/2 hours on my Wii, and my brother's Wii showed 4 1/3 hours (I moved my save file). He played some as well.

I haven't played the other games, but I am interested if they have a similarly good presentation and story telling as Extraction.

I would recommend it to those mature enough, if they're interested in a good sci-fi story and rail-shooter gameplay. I don't really think the "strategic dismemberment" adds that much in an on-rails format; they just feel like a standard weak-point system to me, in the end.WesFXhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13671940889778134918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-74862460446203510922011-03-12T12:25:08.521-05:002011-03-12T12:25:08.521-05:00Hey Coffee -

I keep planning to pick up the last few, just haven't yet.

I admit, I didn't even realize you couldn't skip the cut scenes. I'm someone who generally enjoys the cinematics though and don't skip scenes unless I'm doing a replay and already know what I'm skipping - so I likely wouldn't have noticed it until a 2nd playthrough (and honestly, I don't play through a ton of game a 2nd times unless it's something like Mass Effect or Dragon Age where you can change the storyline a bit, or a fighter style game with a ton of characters)Chalgyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879608925209948366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8884169422383528093.post-50082207617375666122011-03-12T02:40:35.021-05:002011-03-12T02:40:35.021-05:00@Brad:

The style may not be for everyone since it does spend a lot of time being cinematic, but if your a fan of the series I think you would like it. Plus it has a hoard type mode where you can just blast enemies nonstop if you get tired of the story.Brad J. Unfortunately for it, I picked it up at the same time as 2 other games (Fire Emblem and Metroid: Other M) so it sort of took a back seat to those. From what I've played, I liked it. It doesn't feel like a Dead Space game in that it's a shooter on rails - that lack of exploration cuts down on the 'fright' factor a lot for me, but it's solid and I plan to finish it out eventually.

I loved the first Dead Space and gave it a good review. I have Dead Space 2 sitting on my back log right now, so I'm hoping to play that and extraction through fairly soon.Chalgyrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10879608925209948366noreply@blogger.com
