Filtered Thoughts:
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess originally released with a MSRP of $49.99. This past Sunday, May 15, the game saw its first "official" MSRP drop.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is now a "Nintendo Selects" title, one of only four Wii titles in North America, and now Twilight Princess now has a MSRP of just $19.99. If you are wondering, "What are Nintendo Selects titles?" Well, the image/link below should give you a good idea:
I think it is very interesting that Nintendo has waited basically 4.5 years since the Wii released to finally introduce a "Nintendo Selects" line of games for North America. The GameCube had the "Player's Choice" line of games, and it was out before the GameCube was even 2 years old.
While The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is just one of four "Nintendo Selects", I expect to see the number of "Nintendo Selects" titles to grow before the end of the year, especially before this holiday season.
If you haven't see any footage from Twilight Princess, embedded below is I believe the very first trailer Nintendo released for the game; while not showing off game-play elements really, it's more of a teaser type trailer:
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was a day one purchase for us when we found a Wii system. I remember playing it for just a little while after getting it, then going a few months where I did not play it at all.
I did end up finishing the game, and I enjoyed my time with it. I would recommend it to other Wii owners that may be interested in it, but haven't played it yet; especially at its lower price now.
How many hours did I put into the game? Well, the picture below is what is showing as my play-time as reported through the Nintendo Channel:
This accounts for only one play-through! |
